Helping each other can make world better

Indigenous communities in Tanzania—such as the Maasai, Hadza, Barabaig, and Akie—continue to face challenges that affect their wellbeing, including limited education, poor health and nutrition, harmful practices like early marriage and FGM, and increasing pressure from climate change and resource scarcity. Many still lack access to clean and safe water, making daily life even more difficult. TICF works to address these challenges by promoting education, reproductive health, FGM awareness, environmental conservation, clean water access, and the empowerment of women and youth. Our mission is to improve lives, protect rights, and support sustainable development across Tanzania’s Indigenous communities.

    To support Indigenous communities in Tanzania to achieve better lives by strengthening education, reproductive health, women and youth empowerment, environmental conservation, clean water access, and the protection of Indigenous cultures.

  • Maternal, Child Health & Nutrition: Provide reproductive and maternal health services, nutrition support, and awareness programs to address young mothers’ and children’s needs, including reducing early marriages and FGM.
  • Empower Women & Youth: Support economic empowerment, skills development, and income-generating activities to strengthen self-reliance and decision-making.
  • Conserve the Environment: Promote sustainable environmental practices through reforestation, land management, and climate-change awareness that supports Indigenous livelihoods.
  • Ensure Water Access: Facilitate access to clean, safe water and improved sanitation to enhance community health and wellbeing.

Her leadership reflects dedication, integrity, and passion for empowering vulnerable groups and protecting the cultural heritage of Tanzania’s Indigenous peoples.

Topiwo Tulito Mamasita serves as the Treasurer of TICF and is one of the organization’s founding members. He plays a key role in managing the organization’s financial planning, accountability, and resource allocation. His dedication contributes significantly to the organization’s mission of empowering Indigenous communities across Manyara, Simanjiro, and beyond.

Musa Lamayani Mamasita – Secretary & Founder Member Musa Lamayani Mamasita is the Secretary and a founding member of TICF.
